Members of “United for Recall Steering Committee” presented their petition for recall of the entire Lake Don Pedro Owners’ Association board of directors during the board’s regular meeting July 18.

It was presented by committee member Bob Sykes.

LDPOA Board President Ken Kennedy received the petition and noted that the packet with signatures would be forwarded to California Elections Company for verification of petition signators. The Escondido elections specialists will also handle the special recall election.

According to recall committee literature, the purpose of the recall is to remove board members who have “violated our trust by not serving the interests and values of our community.”

The recall election must take place within 30 to 90 days after presentation of the petition to the board.
